John Steinbeck should we listen to his voice why?

                Yes I believe that we should listen to John Steinbeck’s voice.

John Steinbeck uses words that paint a picture in your head, to visualize what he is saying. His book the pearl that I read was powerful, his point of view showed me how people can be so different from wanting something that they would hunt for. John Steinbeck worked his way through college, and then after he graduated he went to New York to be a better writer. After that he went back to California and wrote a short story called Tortilla about a loving family that captured people souls. By 1937 Steinbeck wrote a book called Mice and Men, he wrote the book because he wanted people to know about the two sides of himself as a person. He writes from his experiences, in 1967 John Steinbeck received the noble prize of literature this told me that he cared about writing that he was a writer and put his heart into writing.

                      He put everything he knew into writing came from his heart his settings and expressions were excellent. Steinbeck used text that can relate to your everyday life, John Steinbeck’s nick name was voice of common man which means what people think which Steinbeck wrote in his stories of what he believed in. His nick name is used because we need to express our own experiences. I believe that his passions were having his opinions out having people come and read his thoughts and views, by using his opinions he wanted to put influence on people and see what he really is like. That is why Steinbeck uses stories about himself to put his opinions into characters and themes. From what I learned from Steinbeck was that he was a hard worker, and that he never gave up on what he wanted to reach for. I can use his words in my life by knowing that everyone has to work hard for what they believe in and what their goal is.

                      From this discussion that we had as a class a quote from someone showed me that Steinbeck does a excellent job of having a main idea After reading The Pearl I have changed as a person . “My understandings of things like other peoples culture and religion that how you should respect them no matter what they do.” An excellent quote tells that you can make connections in Steinbeck’s novellas, by he is a great writer that he understands how people make connections with what we are reading so he writes about things that you can connected with your life. I also like Steinbeck how he uses his experiences in his writings that you can relate to. The Pearl about Kino who was obsessed about the pearl showed me that you shouldn’t be obsessed with things that your family should be first. Kino tried to be a good provider for his family like Steinbeck wanting to be a good provider for himself to make a living.

                       I hope that people would use Steinbeck’s novellas to understand his themes and his perspectives. So these are the reasons why I believe that people should hear Steinbeck’s voice.

 where she has many adventures through here

 life. Everything at first goes fine then all of

 a sudden things begin to change to where she has

 to run and keep running from the white men. She

finally has freedom then people want to take it away from her.

Secret Tides: Author Gary E. Parker

 This book is excellent because this tells about

 two families that live in the 1800's facing the war and the

sectrets that could spilt the families into two. A woman named

Camillia has a strong Faith and has a secret that she has and her

 dad may not be her real father. This could lead up to probelms,

also this book is excellent because of how the author uses words

so you can visualize so you can see what he is saying.
